“who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.” (Psalm 15:5, ESV)
The final indicator of a man who belongs to the Lord is seen in his disposition towards personal gain. In both examples in the passage, the inappropriate use of money is in view. On the one hand, a just man does not gain personally off the plight of the poor by charging interest from a man in need (Deuteronomy 23:19 & Leviticus 25:35–38). On the other hand, he does not seek personal gain by using money unjustly to sway a verdict, especially against an innocent man.
The man who exemplifies these virtues is steadfast and therefore will never be moved from the Lord’s holy hill.
